Potting Shed Direct

This is based on 2 ideas. The garden itself and the care of it and what a garden has to offer in terms of holistic benefits for its visitors. There are ideas and products for all budgets, which can help to achieve a more wholesome garden for you to enjoy. It’s all about giving…. but strangely enough by giving you will receive plenty too!

We have all had disheartening experiences of nurturing a plant in a pot and placing it in the soil to find it dies. Gardening is so much more… It does start with nurturing and end with nurturing, I agree, but the journey is what’s important.

Strimmers, mowers, noise, speed and end result…sound familiar. What about a different approach. Ask your self what you gain from your garden right now. Could you ask for more? Could you give more? Regardless of the answer, I believe there are benefits to be had from gardening in a more holistic manner, by purely changing our way of thinking about our gardens. With the world trying to think about its impact on the environment, this is a good place to start. Your own personal piece of the environment! In a holistic sense this is contributing to the whole environment.

To garden in a holistic way is to treat the whole garden. The plant is a part. Right from the beginning the garden is considered as a whole; its aspect, soil, design. By thinking about these concepts before you reach for the plants and choosing wisely, success is more likely. For me the soil is my bible, it speaks to me. You just have to ‘listen’. The health of the garden is ‘written’ in the soil. It is also not a static entity. You can have an impact in its status and capabilities if you give to it.
